Nova 2 Chihuahua Adult Female in Mount Vernon, Indiana

My story
Nova!     DOB: 3/2019     Weight: 15lbs    SOS Small dog at the kennels! She needs out!!! Miss Nova is a very soft, long haired Chihuahua/Pomeranian/dachshund mix. I’m sure their are some other breeds in there as well but her looks and personality are similar to those. She’s only about 15lbs. Nova is a gorgeous girl, the perfect lap dog. She’s house trained and quick to go potty when she goes out. She LOVES to get outside for walks and little adventures. Very sweet and cuddly with her people. Rides great in the car. Nova is slower to warm up to strangers. She was surrendered after nipping at strangers. Nova had been out in public and walks along fine beside you. However, if someone starts looking at her and walks up to her she’ll go off barking and growling. Will nip them if they keep coming at her. She does the same thing when new people walk into the house too. HOWEVER, if said new person completely ignores her and does their own thing, Nova will come up to them on her own terms and make friends. Put a leash on her and have the new guests walk her around outside as well. I did both of these with her when I first met her and we’ve been buddies ever since, no issues. Due to this fear of stranger though, a house with adults only is needed. Nova is also not a fan of sharing her home with other dogs either. She gets jealous of others and will start spats here and there. I think with some time and work this can be helped. Does fine around other dogs out in public. A home with an older person or couple that doesn’t have much company but is still able to give her some walks here and there would be great! Her adoption fee is $250. That covers worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a two week trial in which you can borrow items.
